The THN Rares DB has been updated to version 1.28 - This release is a feature upgrade. - Filtering added to edit and read only displays.
- Quick filtering added to the Rares Edit Display.
- Options to edit the filters can be found under the Options menu.
- All Display Output classes (Anything that shows parts) have been recoded to use a buffer and to support filtering.
- Fixed bug with password protected rares list where pressing enter on the password screen would not check the password. To find out more about filtering, please click on Read More. Full list of changes can be found here.
What are filters?Filters the ability to hide items from view. You can do this in two places. The first which will be useful for traders, is to hide items you don't want to trade. A prime example is MC5 parts, as can be seen in my demo list of rare parts. Different filters can be applied to different servers, so it's possible to trade all you non MC5 on Terra and trade only Droner parts on Neptune. So how do you setup a filter? 1. Login to the Rares DB. 
2. Click on Options 
3. Click on 'Read Access Filter'
4. Change the filter to suit your needs. Click on Save. 
You can also have a different filter for your own rare parts list. For example this would be useful for hiding drones from your editor. To change the filter applied to the rares display editor and the rare parts list. 1. Login to the Rares DB. 
2. Click on Options
3. Click on 'Change Edit/View Filter' 
4. Change the filter to suit your needs. Click on Save.
One important fact to remember if you hide any parts, no parts cataloged are lost, they are just hidden from view. Quick FiltersOn the edit screen you can quickly filter the screen to show only one group. When you click on the little filter icon, the data is saved, and the page is redisplayed. 
To go back to normal view click on the unfilter icon.
